<p>Margot is a graduate of the Ithaca College Theatre Department, where she graduated Cum Laude with departmental honors. While in Ithaca she performed in such shows as: Reefer Madness, Lysistrata and Hurlyburly. Since college, she has been performing and writing comedy rigorously, performing on both east west coasts, as well as various colleges throughout the Northeast.</p><p>Her dark, liberal, off-beat stand-up got her noticed in both 2004 and 2005, when she was one of five NYC nominees for the ECNY award for “Best Female Stand-up.” Soon after, Margot was a regional finalist in the Ladies of Laughter Contest.” She was also the winner of the NYC “Aristocontest,” a contest where comedians competed to tell the best variation on the classic joke, “The Aristocrats.”<br />Margot’s one woman show, “Just Here for the Day,” about her unruly escapes as an unlikely substitute teacher ran for six months to packed houses at the UCB Theatre in NYC and Los Angeles.  In 2006, Margot co-wrote and co-starred with Sarah Burns in “Slow Night,” a one-act play about two waitresses working the overnight shift at a diner in New Jersey.  “Slow Night” had a five month run at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre and was an off-Broadway pick by New York Magazine.  Her first show at UCB, “Namedroppers,” was co-written by longtime friend Giulia Rozzi and was called “Hilarious” by the Onion.</p><p>In addition, Margo performs regularly among the NYC downtown comedy/storytelling scene.
