Shoot the Messenger needs more help!

Hey you guys!

We are growing too fast to keep up with production and need some more hands to help out.

Created by Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, Shoot the Messenger is a great show with great people who are fighting the good fight. Every week we put on a live stage show and make videos and animations for the show and the web. The first part of the show is a satire of the news, the media, using an insipid morning show format. The second half of the show is Lizz interviewing amazing people who are doing good work in the media.

There’s room in every aspect of production-from helping to produce the stage show to the taped pieces to the taping of the show itself, promotion, etc. There are also tons of pathways to creative contributions-from writing to performing for those who are helping out on production.

We especially need: people with computer skills (web, video, flash, graphics), people with theater production skills (prop masters, stagehands, techs), people with video production skills (scheduling, locations, techs, PAs).

No pay, (no one is getting paid yet), but the experience is incredible, and the credit and connections are wonderful. We’ve had Roseanne on the show, Chuck D, Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller, and recently in our audience we’ve had Michael Stipe, Lili Taylor, Natalie Merchant! We’ve had lots of network interest have high hopes that this will eventually become a “real” tv show if this darned strike ever ends, but meanwhile we’re actually pretty happy we get to keep working!
