This episode features author/actor/professor Ron Morasco and Roz discussing the craft of acting and his new book: Notes To An Actor. We also have Commercial Corner and a letter from the capitol of the ancient world: Egypt! We got a great letter from longtime listener Ayman.
Enjoy.

Hey Roz,
Great show! I think I wanna read Ron Morasco’s book.
Congratulations on the bookings too!
On the DVD issue for writers: Currently they receive .3% per DVD, they’re asking for .6%. In dollars and cents that translates into them now receiving 4 cents per DVD and they are asking for 8 cents.
Both SAG & AFTRA do support the WGA, but they both have “No-Strike” clauses in their contracts. Therefore they cannot instruct it’s members to not perform work that they’ve booked. An individual actor can refuse to audition and/or work, but SAG/AFTRA can’t demand it. The SAG, AFTRA and the DGA contracts expire Junes 30th 2008.
